The doctor, on the other hand, can perform a peeling with stronger acids, whoseconcentration e is up to 30-40%. Thanks to this, the preparation penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin – it works more effectively and the effects of the treatment last longer. Strong acids can only be administered by a doctor. Improper selection of acid and its concentration will not only not bring the expected results, but may even harm – cause burns, wounds and permanent scars. What acids are most often used in medical peeling?

Mandelic acid – belongs to alpha-hydroxy acids. It is a mild acid, so it can be used for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It has a keratolytic (exfoliating) effect and intensively moisturizes the skin. It smoothes fine lines and firms the skin. It can be used at any time of the year. Mandelic acid works well in the treatment of acne.

Salicylic acid – perfectly soluble in fats, which is why it has found wide application in the treatment of acne and seborrhea. Salicylic acid penetrates deep into the pores of the skin and cleanses them of residual contents (blackheads). It also regulates the work of the sebaceous glands and exfoliates dead epidermis. In cosmetics, the maximum allowable concentration of salicylic acid is 2%. In the case of medical peels, acid with a concentration of up to 30% is used.

Azelaic acid – has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-blackhead properties. It exfoliates dead epidermis, regulates the sebaceous glands and stimulates skin cells to renew. It works great for acne, seborrheic and discoloration skin.

TCA (trichloroacetic acid) medical peeling – especially recommended for acne scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and discoloration. It stimulates skin renewal, evens out the tone and smoothes.
